Reading back old blog posts, I've changed and grown so much in the last 2 years. Some very dark periods of my life which are now behind me. 2009 over all has been very good for me.

OK OK I'm a slow arse. We have established that. It's been a very hectic time since I last updated.
The good news is, I have a new job and instead of travelling 140+ miles a day I'm now travelling less than a 100 miles a week. Doing much the same as before but with a lot more freedom and more creativity.
Also I now have a wicked Apple iPhone 3Gs. Lovely piece of kit but very very wanky (I'm fully aware of this fact).
Band is going really well, if you check out the band site you'll see we have finally released our EP and we are now gigging. We have had many changes in the band, we parted ways with Paul as we weren't able to agree rehearsal dates due to one thing and another. Also working in Leeds all week made it impossible for me to rehearse on the days Paul wanted.
Anyway we rose from the ashes. We had another drummer setup but were let down at the last minute and then we asked Dave to help us out with drumming on the drum machine. Which got us through 2 gigs but it wasn't enough in the long term.
It did afford us the ability to record our EP at last though, which for a self recording, sounds great. Much love to Dave for getting that done. In the mean time, Dave has taken up the drumming stool and brought a full kit. Now we are really kicking arse haha.
I've also had a change in equipment and brought a Blackstar HT-5 amp. All tube, 5 watter. Doesn't sound a lot but boy does it really smash out the sound. So in the last 3 months we have become a fully functioning band with all the equipment (including PA).
Also this month I went on holiday Anglesey for a week. We stayed in a house only 10 minute walk from the beach. Fantastic view and really relaxing. Drank too much and done a lot of fishing. It was very strange coming back to the city after the calm of the country and not being able to see the stars anymore.
That brings us to now. Basically I have hardly any time to do the things I need to do, never mind the things I WANT to do. The joys of modern life. It's not so much a case of work taking over (not anymore) more a case of having too much fun and enjoying myself.
I went bowling last weekend, first time since I was 12. It was great fun, I will be doing that again soon.
This weekend I'm going to see Vampires Rock, no idea what its about or what it's like but should be a good laugh. And going to see Alice Cooper next month. A bit of old school can never be sniffed at.
Right that's enough hyperbole from me, until another 3 months time.

So it's been a long time since I've updated. Since May by all accounts. A lot has been happening. I did start working in Leeds up until this month when I got a new job. Working only 10 miles from home. Which is a round trip of 20 miles. A lot different to the 136 mile round trip which I was doing for 3 months.
A lot has changed in the band as well, we have parted ways with our drummer and are now using a drum machine for both recording and live. Along with this we have our first gig coming up on the 15th August. All the details are on our new band website http://www.coconspirators.co.uk
I have also started up a small business (very much at the start right now) of rebuilding and selling guitars. The first guitar (a strat copy) is my main guitar.
Also had a change in my guitar setup, I've ditched the Marshall amp and using a Blackstar HT-5. Very very cool amp.
So I start my new job in about a weeks time. I will try and keep this upto date from now on, now that I'm not spending half my life on the M62.
Peace.

So started in Leeds last week. Surprisingly it wasn't so bad, I thought I would be completely wrecked but I'm not. It's made a massive difference being with everyone, instead of being miles away from the team.
Anyway so that's enough of work, started back with band again last night. We have wrote yet another song, this is very punky, very fast but dang it makes me smile to play it.
Nothing else is new. New Star Trek film out, still not watched it yet.
Move along!
